Reskilling

Developments in the IT labor market are moving at lightning speed. The demand for well-trained IT professionals continues to grow, while supply lags behind. Fast Lane therefore considers it essential that new target groups can enter the IT sector in an accessible way and develop into sustainably employable IT professionals.

New entrants and career changers: the key to growth in the IT labor market

To structurally reduce the shortage of IT professionals, increasing the inflow is crucial. Therefore, Fast Lane specifically focuses on new entrants and career changers who want to gain basic IT knowledge and aspire to a new career in IT. This group includes:

  • Job seekers
  • Refugees and newcomers
  • Career changers from other sectors or physically demanding professions
  • Starting IT professionals who do not yet possess the right skills

Reskilling is more accessible than you think

Many people believe that reskilling is only possible if they can pay for it entirely themselves. In practice, this is rarely the case. Various subsidies, funds, and schemes exist that make reskilling for IT accessible. An example of this is the CA-ICT ESF+ subsidy scheme, which subsidizes your reskilling program by as much as 40%. In this way, Fast Lane lowers the threshold for taking the step toward a future-proof career in IT.

Our goal is to give people the opportunity for a sustainable career in the rapidly changing world of IT. It is our way of contributing to solving societal challenges. We do not only develop knowledge and skills, but we provide people with a future perspective while simultaneously contributing to the new IT reality. We are proud of that!
